Late payments

For residential non-business customers, we do not offer payment terms.

Business & commercial customers payment terms of 14 days are offered as standard unless otherwise agreed in writing electronically via email or text in advance of receiving a request for work to be carried out.

Non-payment of outstanding Business invoices after 30 days unless previously agreed by both parties in writing via email or text in advance of work being carried out will incur charge compensation as specified by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

For invoices up to £999.99 charge of £40 per invoice
For invoices from £1,000 – £9,999.99, the charge of 70 per invoice
For invoices over £10,000.00 charge of £100 per invoice
Additionally, every day the invoice is outstanding over 30 days until the invoice is satisfied will incur an interest charge of 8% plus (BOE) Bank of England Base rate at the time of the invoice being overdue

General Locksmith work & warranty.
Lockouts & Non-Destructive Entry
General Terms & Conditions

General locksmith tasks will be undertaken as per the request of the client. The tasks that Locksmith Kev undertake will be charged based on a rate for labour and a fee for the locks or equipment installed or supplied.

Locksmith Kev will undertake any task that he is trained and capable in completing at a sensible and mutually agreed cost. Locksmith Kev has a policy that all tasks undertaken must be paid for immediately on receipt of invoice (general public) or 14 days for commercial. After this period, any client that has not settled there invoice in full will be in breach of the contract and proceedings will be started to collect the outstanding balance, All goods or parts fitted will remain the property of Locksmith Kev until the invoice is paid for in full, Locksmith Kev reserves the right to remove installed parts/Locks or equipment not paid for in full after the period stated above unless already agreed via email or text message to extend time given to pay in full. In the event that a system is obsolete Locksmith Kev will endeavour to provide a system as close to the old system as possible with the technical assistance of the manufacturers and suppliers. Making a Complaint. In the event that you have a genuine complaint please contact Locksmith Kev initially by phone stating your name, task location and if known invoice number. We would also urge the client to put their concerns in writing. Request a copy of the job notes taken at the time and signed for by the client and should you still feel that you have a reason to continue with your complaint then submit your complaint in writing. If the complaint is genuine Locksmith Kev will endeavour to repair / rectify the fault straight away and within 96 hours with no cost to the client. Should the fault be found to be due to faulty equipment, locks and a replacement is to be required and the fault is not due to supplier agrees to replace them at no cost. Should the client still feel that their grievance has not been dealt with in full they are requested to seek additional assistance.

Warranty & Guarantee, all Goods/Parts/Locks/Equipment fitted/installed by Locksmith Kev come with a 12 month warranty, no warranty will be given on any Goods/Parts/Locks/Equipment not fitted/installed by Locksmith Kev. This does not effect your statutory rights. If evidence of miss-use is found this makes any warranty null & void.

Call out charges for warranty work will not be at clients cost however if on inspection it is found not to be the fault of any Goods/Parts/Locks/Equipment fitted/installed by Locksmith Kev, call out charge will be payable by the client. By instructing locksmith Kev either verbally, Written or electronically to carry out any work you are agreeing to the contract & terms as detailed above.

Non destructive entry (NDE) is always the first method LocksmithKev.co.uk will try when on emergency lockout, in the event NDE fails as it’s not guaranteed you will be asked twice if you are wanting to proceed with destructive entry (drilling, snapping, spreading, deglazing etc) in the event of any accidental damage to doors, windows or other property at the customers address you agree to indemnify locksmithKev (Kevin James Wynn) from damages claims, every effort will be made to ensure this will not happen but can’t be guaranteed as the work is as described destructive entry and there is a chance that accidental damage may occur.
